Building Relationships One Client at a Time

We recently had the opportunity to help our client, Hines, build their brand while they hosted their third annual Tour de Ren.  Tour de Ren is an outdoor, high energy, spin-cycle event hosted at Renaissance Square at the corner of Central Avenue and Washington Street.  The fundraiser is designed to benefit Phoenix Children's Hospital.   Its name includes a symbolic nod to the Renaissance Square Corporate Space property, managed by Hines and owned by Oaktree Capital and Cypress Office Properties.   We used a few of our strategic elements to help them stand out at this event, including:

  • Think Outside the Box:  We had a brainstorming session to see what might work the best for them.  We decided to use a myriad of colors on products rather than just one.  In doing so, it allowed for people to lean in and choose their favorites, and it helped bring a colorful awareness to those participating in the event.
  • Products Tied to the Event:  Since it was a stationary bike cycling event, we used wristbands and kazoos, to help bring some fun to the event.   
  • Theme Color on Shirts:  To ensure their brand was tied in, we made their shirts in green, to tie into the color of the Tour de Ren Logo.
  • Event Promotion:  They promoted their event to their clients and asked Phoenix Children's Hospital to cross-promote as well.  They were active on Facebook and Instagram.   
  • Donations Increased:  Thanks to the efforts of Hines, donors and the public who supported this event, they increased their fundraising efforts over last year,  raising more than $36,000 to donate to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
